As consumers and other visitors are driving down the road, are they able to find your building with plenty of time to slow down and turn into your parking lot? Or, is it more like a brake test every time people first visit your facilities? San Diego State University wanted to make it easy for students and guests alike to find the newly renovated Zura Hall, so they contacted the friendly professionals at All Star Signs for monument signs for student housing in San Diego, CA.

A Little Information about the Zura Hall Renovation

Monument Signs San Diego CA

Zura Hall first opened on the campus of San Diego State University in 1968. In that time, the 140,900 square feet hall has served the campus and students well. However, to address the many years of accumulated deferred maintenance, it was in drastic need of significant improvements. This led to the first full renovation of a residence hall in SDSU history. The project began in the summer of 2014 with a budget of over $53 million, and the hall reopened for the fall semester 2015 move-in day on August 21, 2015.

When such a distinguished institution of higher learning contacted us to help out with monument signs for universities in San Diego, we jumped at the chance to be part of this historic project. SDSU just needed us to produce a marker that complemented the décor well. Fortunately, we had the skills to pull it off.

First of all, we listened closely to what they had in mind for the marker. We then created a design for their approval. Once SDSU was happy, we got down to work fabricating the new sign. We then worked with their schedule to ensure the classy new monument sign was installed in time to welcome the students back. In the end, the client was completely satisfied with the job we did.

We Have Monument Signs for Your Organization

Every building can benefit from the addition of a monument sign whether you run a standalone business, you want to announce the name of your complex, or there are multiple tenants you want to showcase. There are seemingly endless options when it comes to designs, colors, and materials for monument signs. Some of the classic varieties include

  • Routed Panels – There are metal, illuminated, foam/acrylic, PVC/acrylic, and recessed panel alternatives with this robust signage choice.
  • Message/Reader Boards – If you have information that changes frequently, you must have a message board. These signs are easy to update with just a few keystrokes.
  • Metal, Concrete, and Foam – Raised foam or acrylic letters and logos on an aluminum sign with a concrete base is one of the most cost-effective monument signs. And, if you are open at night, we can illuminate the marker with landscape lighting or spotlighting.
  • Sandblasted – If you run a business that is going for a warm, traditional look, such as real estate offices, boutiques, and medical offices, sandblasted monument signs are an excellent solution.
