We have blogged a lot about the importance of building signage. Bank signage in San Diego helps your customers with wayfinding and advertises the brand. However, more and more financial institutions now also invest in custom blade signs for banks in San Diego, Escondido, and throughout the county. Why?
Blade Signs Give Directions
Custom blade signs are a mixture of wayfinding assistance, advertising, and directional help. Frequently, these signs either repeat the building sign or add to it. A good example is the ATM sign we recently put together.
Our technicians began the project with a piece of aluminum with a thickness of 1/8”. We painted it bright red to match the color palette of the facade. Next, our team added digitally printed letters that were put directly onto the custom blade sign’s facing.
To mount this sign, we custom-made square tube brackets that would let us mount the product from behind the awning’s fascia. The brackets allow the sign to hang from the overhang, which is a popular installation method. We previously did something similar with interior 3D lettering.
Another Installation Choice for California Custom Blade Signs
We also worked on a project for Mission Fed Credit Union. The client chose not to have the sign mounted to the awning in this setting. Instead, we began the project with a custom-made aluminum box that we powder-coated white. Next, our technicians fabricated quarter-inch-thick acrylic letters and logo elements that we custom-painted for maximum contrast with the panel. You see these on both sides of the sign.
We used a straight arm that technicians installed directly to the wall. While it is possible to mount the sign directly to the arm extending from the wall – we previously did it for a faux neon building sign in Escondido – the client preferred the option of slight movement. Check out the custom blade sign in Poway that shows how we can suspend the panel portion with various mounting mechanisms. In the case of Mission Fed, we used an attractive chain link with just a little give.
Both Types of Custom Blade Signs for Banks in California Make It Easy to Have Passersby See You from a Distance
Why does it make sense to invest in custom blade signs for banks in San Diego or anywhere else in the county? For starters, this sign draws attention to your location. Remember that customers will only sometimes walk up straight to your building. Sometimes, they come from the side of the sidewalk while walking down the street.
Moreover, blade signs let you augment the message a building sign or even window graphics send. For example, your window graphics may point in the direction of the ATM. With a blade sign, you can pinpoint the exact area where it is located. Find out more about your signage options for financial institutions. Call us today!
