A vibrant member of the San Diego community, the St John Garabed Armenian Church has been undergoing construction and upgrades. Members have raised funds, hosted events, and worked hard to see their plans become a reality. Recently, the board hired All Star Signs to offer donor recognition wall ideas and then fabricate and install the products.
Nine Contemporary Donor Plaques Create a Beautiful Memory in the Church’s Foyer
While discussing the project with the client, we learned they were looking for something that would be detailed, modern, and budget-friendly. At the same time, the lettering had to be easy to read and complement the overall atmosphere of the building.
Our graphic designer sketched out transparent plaques using half-inch-thick green glass acrylic. The material perfectly mimics the great looks of glass, offers a smidgen of coloration, and brings elegance to a space. For the edges, we suggested a bull-nosed presentation with a polished finish.
To add depth to the design, we digitally printed the desired text on the back of the green glass acrylic. The final step for the nine plaques was to mount them to the appropriate wall spaces with 1.5-inch by 2-inch graphite anodized standoffs. The polish from the acrylic fronts adds a contemporary touch.
3D Letters Honor the Church’s Grand Benefactors
Donor recognition walls frequently reserve a place of honor for those contributors who donate above and beyond what anyone else gave. In this client’s case, we ensured recognition with the use of three-dimensional letters flat-cut from half-inch-thick acrylic.
Next, our technician painted the elements in duranodic bronze to present a complementing counterpoint to the black print of the donor plaques. Finally, our installer pin-mounted the letters to the wall, enhancing the 3D effect. The combination of plaques and three-dimensional letters looks excellent, perfectly serves the location’s atmosphere, and creates a lasting memory.
Work with a Sign Shop That Specializes in Donor Walls
All Star Sign routinely works with churches, synagogues, and other non-profit organizations to design, produce, and install dedication walls at any facility or office. During the client consultation, we gladly visit your location to take measurements, determine illumination, and note the signage installation techniques you have favored so far. Going this route allows us to create a donor wall that integrates easily with the already existing signage solutions in your space.
If you already have specs, we can work with them as well. By the way, if you are unsure what types of materials to select for your location, we can offer you some suggestions. As you can see, green glass acrylic is a fantastic option for a contemporary display. However, our shop also specializes in cast bronze plaques. These appeal to clients with a flair for traditional presentations.
